Flownetix announces update to 100series® product range

Tuesday 1st May 2007

Flownetix is pleased to announce an update to the company’s 100series® product range.

Increasing production volumes has now allowed Flownetix to move production to our dedicated production facility, already capable of producing over 1 million units annually of our 300series® Consumer Water Meter product, in Southern China. This allows us to provide higher unit volumes and excellent pricing to our customers backed by manufacture and traceability in a facility producing metering, medical and telecommunications products to the highest quality standards.

The 100series products are designed to replace low cost mechanical meters with a non-moving part, fully electronic solution. With no moving parts to clog or jam and wetted parts manufactured from food safe materials, the 100series is ideal for measuring drinks dispense (including both hot and cold beverages), use with hot and cold water and general low cost, reliable liquid flow measuring applications.

During the production transition, the 100series family has been updated to its third iteration, to be known as the 100v3 and launched in 3 fitting types and two electronic options. A lowest cost open collector pulse output only version and combined pulse and analog output version for greatest flexibility for distributors and other users.

The 100series products offer the same “inherent intelligence” as the 300series Consumer Water Meters and a wide variety of unit and application information can be downloaded from the unit using the Flownetix serial interface. Combined with Flownetix or our partners’ AMR solutions allows remote reading of units and download of additional parameters including peak flows, gas only flows and reverse flows. Visit www.flownetix.com/live for examples. This data bus also allows distributor and user scaling of digital and analog outputs.

Improved ingress protection, lower power consumption and many other new features are also included. The measurement rate has increased by a factor of 10 and current consumption reduced by 80% for the fastest response time and lowest current without reducing performance.

The 100v3 products will be available from July 2007.
